The Outer Banks is a great place for a family vacation. There are numerous restaurants, shops and golf courses.
For the kids you, of course, have the beach, miniature golf, and area rides (go carts).
For the nature lovers you have nature trails, Jockey's Ridge State Park and guided tours to see the wild horses out into the 4-wheel drive section of Carova Beach.
The Currituck Lighthouse is a great place to climb and see a great aerial view of the island. There is also The Whalehead Club to tour.
