If you have never heard of Branson, you are in for a treat. This small town on the southern border of Missouri is widely known as the country music entertainment capital of the South, and for good reason: more than 50 theaters operate here, many of them featuring well-known names. Vacation rentals in Branson are numerous and allow visitors to stay for days or weeks at a time so that they can take in as many shows as their hearts desire.
Although country music and live entertainment are Branson's main draws, they are by no means the only attractions this city has to offer. Visitors can also tour the Titanic Museum, a two-story museum constructed in the shape of the famous ship. More than 400 artifacts from the ship are on display here in 20 different galleries designed to give tourists a feel for what it must have been like to sail on the doomed ship during her maiden voyage. Guests enter the ship through a recreation of the iceberg that sent it to the depths. Allow at least 90 minutes for a visit since the guided tour takes approximately that long to complete.
Other notable attractions include a wax museum with replicas of Hollywood celebrities from past and present, wineries, a haunted house complete with "monster asylum, a rainforest adventure featuring a butterfly farm, and Predator World, as well as Ripley's Odditorium.
