Situated in the Okanagan Valley, and spanning across the center of the 100 mile long Lake Okanagan via a floating bridge, is the city of Kelowna, the 3rd largest city in BC. The long, hot summer days and cool evenings, provide perfect weather for growing wine grapes, and the area is known for its award winning wines and wine tastings/tours at the numerous spectacular wineries. It is a great climate for other fruits too, and cherry, peach, apricot and apples orchards dot the landscape with pretty spring blossoms and great tasting summer fruits. Wonderful summer weather and a lake also provide for many boating and lake activities. The area is also home to numerous golf courses with levels to suit all golfers and the surrounding mountains provide excellent hiking, biking and lake vistas. With ‘champagne powder’ snow in winter, the area is renowned for skiing at Big White, Silver Star and Apex Mountains. Why not come and visit Kelowna - considered by many to be BC’s best kept secret!

Over a dozen wineries are located in Kelowna with over 60 in the whole Okangan Valley region. Some nearby include Mission Hill, Sumac Ridge, Mount Boucherie, Summerhill, Oak Bay - St. Hurbertis, Quails Gate and Grey Monk.
All wineries offer wine tasting, and most have cafes for dining. As well, several wineries have facility tours to teach visitors the art of winemaking. Wine tours can last from 20 minutes to an hour, depending on the winery.
