Redington Shores is a city along the Gulf Coast of Florida. The population consists of fewer than 2500 permanent residents, giving it all the charm of a small town, but at the same time, vacation rentals in Redington Shores offer tourists a wide variety of attractions. Because Redington Shores is along the coast, boating and fishing are readily available, but because it is situated in Pinellas County, which is centrally located along the Gulf Coast, Redington Shores is an excellent place to stay for tourists who want to explore the many area attractions inland in the state of Florida.
Area Attractions
Orlando area attractions are considered to be accessible from Redington Shores. These familiar attractions include Sea World, Disney World's several amusement parks, and Universal Studios Florida. Lesser-known attractions, however, can provide just as much entertainment for a family on vacation. The Lowry Park Zoo, for example, located in the large city of Tampa, is among the top three zoos in America for facilities of a comparable size, and features a Manatee Aquatic Center so that tourists can learn more about this marine mammal native to the waters of Florida. The Konger Coral Sea Aquarium located in Tarpon Springs provides displays about marine life, including a main tank that holds more than 100,000 gallons.
Another popular area attraction is Great Explorations, which is a hands-on museum created for children. This learning center is located in St. Petersburg.
