Experience Majors Estate
Imagine an idyllic Smoky Mountain paradise where natural beauty surrounds you on a gated 200-acre ranch with 1.5 miles of frontage on the Pigeon River. Wildlife is abundant on the property - you're likely to see turkeys, hawks, and deer living in harmony with the estate's farm animals! Located between Asheville and Waynesville, Majors Estate features a lighted tennis and basketball court at one of the highest points on the property (known as one of the highest tennis courts east of the Rocky Mountains). Your family and friends will make memories to last a lifetime while enjoying the solidly constructed children's play area with swings and slides, the riverside entertainment area with a gazebo and fire pit, and the mountain overlook gazebo where you can sit and gaze over miles of mountain ridges in the distance.
Jaisel's Cabin is located next to the children's play area and just around the bend from the tennis courts. Guests will also enjoy visiting the barnyard on the other side of the estate, where cows, donkeys, goats, and chickens are kept as pets of the estate owners. The river access area is located 1.65 miles downhill from Jaisel's Cabin. All of the roads at Majors Estate are gravel, well-maintained, and private, making them perfect year-round for both short strolls and long walks.
Groups are welcome at Majors Estate! Ideal for retreats and group gatherings, the estate offers four log cabins with a total occupancy of 21 guests. Expand your invitation list and rent two or more properties together. Check out Imani's Cabin and Taj's Cabin. Courtside Cabin, the smallest of the estate's homes, is available as an add-on for one or more nights during your stay, making it ideal for use as a guesthouse or for members of your group that exceed your cabin's occupancy limit by one or two people. TENNIS ENTHUSIASTS take note: with a full kitchen, gas grill, bathroom, and central air conditioning, Courtside Cabin serves well as a private clubhouse where players can take relaxing breaks and have lunch or afternoon tea.

Outdoor activities in the area include whitewater rafting, kayaking, fly fishing, and hiking trails such as the Rose Walk around Lake Junaluska and the Cataloochee Divide Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This Asheville vacation rental is located in Clyde and is approximately 40 minutes to downtown Asheville.
